What is a World Trade Center?

A World Trade Center establishes links.

The objective of a World Trade Center in the World Trade Centers Association is - “Peace and Stability through Trade”.

World Trade Center – a functioning system of operating units working in association / in a network, which each exclusively represent an economic region distinguishable from other economic regions.

The World Trade Centers Association only issues one exclusive license in respect of each economic region.

The task of each World Trade Centers is to take the objectives of the World Trade Centers Association as its basis establishing itself an information source, link, facilitator, intermediary in the creation of business relations of local companies with companies within the catchment area of other World Trade Centers.

All services provided by the World Trade Center are directly or indirectly aimed at the objective.

The tasks of the World Trade Center include:

•  Promotion and expansion of international commerce;
•  Expansion and strengthening of international trading relations;
•  Increasing the share of developing countries in world trade;
•  Promotion of cooperation and mutual assistance among members;
•  Concentrated service provision for members;
•  Promotion and further development of the World Trade Center concept;

The objective is to achieve consistency and reciprocity within the community to which all the companies based at a particular WTC location belong including therefore all companies which want to be linked with a WTC at more than 280 locations all over the world.

The World Trade Centers Association and the locally-based World Trade Centers are not competitors to the existing institutions (chambers of commerce, business development etc.), on the contrary, the WTCA provides support to these organisations.
